I've received more friendly email from others at the museum (where I quit on Monday):
"I was very dismayed to discover last night that you had resigned as a (museum) volunteer. I valued you as a colleague with a robust and informed attitude towards computing, and I admired the effort you were prepared to put in to make the museum work."
"Though I am not enough of a network techie to fully understand the reasoning behind the changes made to the network, I could see that you were bringing a great deal of knowledge and experience to solving the problems, and were
responding to comments on the mailing list in a clear manner that appeared to answer the comments."
"I think the museum will be diminished without you."
