I'm mostly calmed down now from the stress of earlier in the day. Before I was cut off from the office email list I saw various comments both good and bad.
Two of the former were "I've been away and have just read all the correspondence about the ISP/Connectivity and Wiki. I'm not surprised Alison has resigned, and am sure this will be a significant loss to the museum." and "This is the worst of all possible news. I have watched the increasing flow of emails over the last several days with increasing incredulity. All that I can say is to say - 'I wish you well for the future'. With kind regards"
There is the beneficial side-effect that by not travelling up there two to six times a month I'll be saving at least a couple of tanks of petrol a month (so around £70) which is very welcome.
